Epps, Holloway, DeLoach & Hoipkemier, LLC welcomed Michael James to its team in 2018. Her practice focuses on estate planning, long term care and Medicaid planning, VA planning, guardianship and conservatorship services, probate administration, trust administration, special needs planning, and estate litigation. Michael graduated summa cum laude from University of Georgia in 2016, where she received her bachelor's degree in International Affairs. In 2019 she graduated from University of Georgia School of Law, earning her "Double Dawg" status. During her time at University of Georgia School of Law, Michael interned at the Rockdale County Prosecutor's Office, serving as a student prosecutor under the third year practice act. As a student prosecutor, Michael focused on cases dealing in elder abuse and animal abuse.
While working with the firm, Michael spent her first year in practice serving on a local board for a non-profit organization devoted to drug rehabilitation. Michael James has been active with the Georgia Mock Trial Program since 2019 as a judge, and in 2020 as a coach for a local high school team. She is also an active volunteer and participant in TNR programs in Barrow and other surrounding counties. Outside of the office, Michael enjoys spending time with her church community at Winder First United Methodist Church and with her partner of thirteen years. Michael's hobbies include hiking, fishing, and language acquisition.
